Long and Sprint events
The courses at the NZ Secondary Schools Orienteering Champs will be available for the public to run for the Sprint, and Long events for parents and spectators Public races will follow the schools competition.
Rogaine event
A public rogaine will run in parallel with the NZSS rogaine champs. The public rogaine is a 2hr rogaine for all participants. This will start after and finish before the schools event. This allows team supporters to run in the rogaine event and be back to see the schools finish & prizegiving.
The public rogaine is open to teams or individuals.
There will be approx 50 controls. Older SI chips can store a maximum of 30 punches. If you expect to visit more than 30 controls, ensure you are using a high-capacity SI card such as SI Air or SI9.

Entries
The Long and Sprint races are pre-entry only. Pre-entries are preferred at the rogaine, to ensure we print enough maps.
